Black-eyed susans are considered one of the most common North American wildflowers, but in Philadelphia, they are mostly seen either cultivated as an ornamental (as are those of the first photo on this page) or spread from an area of cultivation (as are those of the last photo on this page). They can, however, be found growing wild in park areas and such.
